The Nordic nRF52820 Bluetooth® 5.2 System-on-Chip (SoC) is a single-chip wireless solution with built-in USB and advanced wireless connectivity in a small package. The nRF52820 uses an Arm® Cortex®-M4 processor with a clock frequency of 64MHz. It features 256KB of flash, 32KB of RAM, and various analog and digital interfaces, analog comparators, UART, SPI, TWI, QDEC, and full-speed USB 2.0. The supply voltage range of the NRF52820 is 1.7V-5.5V, so the device can be powered by a rechargeable battery or a power source such as USB. The 2.4GHz multi-protocol radio is a full-featured design that provides up to +8dBm output power.
The Nordic nRF52820 SoC is capable of supporting all Bluetooth 5.2 features, including Bluetooth low energy, Bluetooth mesh, Thread and Zigbee mesh protocols, as well as direction finding, high throughput 2Mbps and long range capabilities. For Human Interface Device (HID) applications, the nRF52820 provides USB and +8 dBm TX power as a single-chip option. It operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, making it suitable for complex lighting applications.
